Apple Pie

Fall is finally here! Personally, I am a whole fan of fall, I mean who doesn’t love when the leaves start to change colors and the weather starts to cool down. I understand why some people may not enjoy the cooler weather but to me that means I can finally wear my favorite pair of boots and not get weird looks from people! Fall is also the time to go pick apples and pumpkins.

Last weekend, I had my boyfriend take me to the local apple orchard so we could partake in these fall activities. Once we got back from the orchard, I had a bunch of apples and needed something to make with them. The first thing I could think of was apple pie and we decided to make just that!


Stir together the sugar, cinnamon, flour and salt.


Next stir in the apple slices.

Put one of the pie crusts on the bottom of the pie plate.


Pour the apple mixture into the pie pan and top with the other crust. Making sure to wrap and extra crust under the bottom crust layer. Bake at 450 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Enjoy!

  1. 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  2. 2 tablespoons flour
  3. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  4. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  5. 6 cups apples, sliced
  6. 1 box refrigerated pie crusts
  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
  2. Stir together the sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt
  3. Mix in the apples to the sugar mixture
  4. Place one pie crust in the bottom of the pie plate
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the bottom crust and top with the remaining pie crust
  6. Pinch the edges of the crusts together
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes
  8. Enjoy!!
  1. We decided to add ice cream to the top of our apple pie slices as we ate them and I would highly recommend it!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

I had a big test coming up that I really needed to study for but something in me just knew that I needed to take a break from this studying that I was doing and what better thing to do during this break than to make a delicious dessert!! I am sure that my teacher will understand that making some chocolate peanut butter bars were a better decision that studying for his test. I mean just look at them, they look and tasted so good!


And to make things even better, they are not hard to bake and no time in the oven!! Except they do have to go in the fridge for a little but I could have studying in that time right?!?!


First, beat together butter and 1 1/4 cups of creamy peanut butter. Then mix in the powdered sugar and crushed graham crackers. Next mix in 1/2 cup of milk chocolate chips. Once this is all mixed together push it into a greased 13×9 pan. 


Put this in the fridge while you make the chocolate topping.

In a small sauce pan, melt the remaining chocolate chips and peanut butter. Stirring occasionally. 


Once the chocolate chips are completely melted take the pan out of the fridge and pour this on top of the bars and spread it evenly over them. Put them in the fridge for an hour or until the chocolate is firm. 


When the chocolate is firm, take them out of the fridge and cut them into bars and enjoy!! 


Now maybe it is time to go back to studying…

  1. 3/4 Cup butter, softened
  2. 2 Cups creamy peanut butter
  3. 2 Cups powdered sugar
  4. 3 Cups of graham crackers, crushed
  5. 1 Package milk chocolate chips, 2 cups
  1. Grease 13x9 pan
  2. Beat together butter and 1 1/4 cups peanut butter
  3. Mix in powdered sugar and graham crackers
  4. Add in 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  5. Place peanut butter mixture into the pan
  6. Put the pan in the fridge while making the chocolate topping
  7. Melt remaining chocolate chips and peanut butter in a saucepan
  8. Pour chocolate topping on the bars
  9. Put back in the fridge until the chocolate is firm
  10. Cut into bars
  11. Enjoy!!
  1. I left my graham crackers a little bigger when I crushed them to add some crunch to the bars
  2. If you cannot wait as long to let the chocolate set, you can put them in the freezer to make it set faster
